Emirates Skywards award chart and sweet spots
Skywards has no published award chart. Classic Rewards on Emirates come in Saver and Flex Plus levels, priced through the Miles Calculator on emirates.com, with Classic Rewards Saver limited to round trips on most routes. Premium Economy Classic Rewards started at 15,000 miles one way in September 2025, and First Class Classic Rewards are restricted to Silver tier and above.
Partner flights on Qantas, JAL, United, Air Canada and others are priced by Emirates from a minimum of 3,000 miles, again through the calculator. Fuel surcharges on Emirates are substantial in business and first.

Skywards is the only program every US transferable currency reaches, so balances from several cards can be combined.
Fees and surcharges
- Taxes, fees and carrier-imposed surcharges are paid in cash; business class to Dubai from the US carries roughly $1,700 round trip.
- Skywards Miles expire three years after they are earned, at the end of the member's birth month; extensions cost from USD 30 per 1,000 miles with a minimum of 1,000 and a maximum of 50,000 miles a year.
- Classic Rewards Saver can only be booked as a round trip except from Australia and New Zealand; Flex Plus awards allow one way.
Routing and stopover rules
- Classic Rewards Saver awards are round trip only on most routes, with one stopover in Dubai allowed; Flex Plus awards can be one way.
- First Class Classic Rewards require Silver tier or higher.
- Partner awards are priced by Emirates and cannot include Emirates flights on the same ticket.
Recent and upcoming changes
- September 10, 2025: Premium Economy Classic Rewards launched from 15,000 miles one way.
- January 2026: Capital One transfers to Skywards changed to 2:1.5; Amex has transferred at 5:4 since 2023.
- July 2026: Emirates and flydubai moved onto Aeroplan's dynamically priced "select partner" list.
