The Qantas Frequent Flyer program explained
Qantas Frequent Flyer is the loyalty program of Qantas, the Australian flag carrier and a founding member of oneworld. It is one of the largest loyalty programs in the world relative to the size of its home market, with more than 15 million members, and its points can be redeemed on Qantas, Jetstar, oneworld partners such as American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines, and non-alliance partners including Emirates.
For US members the program matters mostly as a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards, Capital One and Citi ThankYou Points, and as the home of Classic Flight Rewards, the fixed-price award chart that still covers Qantas and partner flights. Balances are often much larger than members can use, because long-haul Classic Reward seats on Qantas itself are scarce.
