Which credit card points transfer to which airline?
Every transfer route from the six US bank currencies and Marriott Bonvoy into the 18 airline programs Points Plug buys, with the ratio as bank points to airline miles. "Via" marks a route that works through another program, such as Citi to British Airways through Qatar Airways Avios.

Chase Ultimate Rewards
- All airline transfers are 1:1 in 1,000-point increments with no fee.
- Transfers need a Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve or Ink Business Preferred; Freedom cards must pool points to one of those first.
- Most transfers post within a business day; Chase allows up to seven.

American Express Membership Rewards
- Most airlines are 1:1 in 1,000-point increments; Cathay Pacific and Emirates are 5:4.
- Transfers to US airline programs (Delta, JetBlue) carry an excise tax offset fee of $0.0006 per point, capped at $99.
- Etihad Guest is no longer a Membership Rewards partner.

Capital One miles
- Most airlines are 1:1 with a 1,000-mile minimum and no fee, from any Venture, VentureOne or Spark Miles card.
- Emirates and JAL transfer at 4:3 on Capital One's own partner page; some publishers list Emirates at 1:1, so check in the app before transferring.
- Virgin Atlantic is reached through Virgin Red at 1:1.

Citi ThankYou Points
- Premium cards (Strata Elite, Strata Premier, Prestige) transfer at 1:1 with a 1,000-point minimum; Emirates is 1:0.8.
- Since mid-2026 no-annual-fee cards can transfer at 1:0.7 to every partner except American AAdvantage, which stays premium-only.
- There is no direct British Airways transfer; move points to Qatar Airways and then combine Avios.

Bilt Rewards
- All airlines are 1:1 in 1,000-point increments with no fee; Blue members need a 2,000-point minimum.
- Bilt is the only bank program that transfers to Alaska Atmos Rewards and, with Chase, to United.
- Most transfers are immediate; Bilt allows up to 48 hours.

Marriott Bonvoy
- Points transfer at 3:1 to most airlines, with 5,000 bonus miles for every 60,000 points moved (an effective 3:1.25).
- United receives a 10,000-mile bonus per 60,000 points instead; American and Delta receive no bonus.
- Korean Air SKYPASS and Lufthansa Miles & More are not on Marriott's current list.

How to use the matrix
Transfers are one way. Points that reach an airline cannot return to the bank, so the sensible order is to find award space first, then transfer, then book. Most transfers post within minutes; Singapore KrisFlyer and Cathay Pacific can take a day or two, which matters when award seats are about to vanish.
Bank programs run transfer bonuses of 20 to 40 percent several times a year, most often to Avios, Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic and Aeroplan. Waiting for a bonus is usually worth it for a large transfer, and it is one reason to keep points in the bank program rather than parked in an airline.

- Which credit card points transfer to United?
- Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards transfer to United MileagePlus at 1:1. Marriott Bonvoy transfers at 3:1 with a 10,000-mile bonus per 60,000 points. Amex, Capital One and Citi do not transfer to United.
- Which credit card points transfer to American Airlines?
- Only Citi ThankYou Points from premium cards (Strata Elite, Strata Premier and Prestige) transfer to AAdvantage at 1:1, plus Marriott Bonvoy at 3:1 without a bonus. Chase, Amex, Capital One and Bilt do not.
- Can I transfer points to Delta?
- American Express Membership Rewards transfers to Delta SkyMiles at 1:1 with a small excise fee, and Marriott Bonvoy transfers at 3:1. No other US bank program transfers to Delta.
- Are transfers reversible?
- No. Once points arrive in an airline program they cannot be moved back to the bank. That is why it is best to transfer only when award space is confirmed, and why a balance already sitting in an airline program is a candidate for selling rather than moving.
- Which airlines can I not transfer points to?
- Korean Air SKYPASS and Lufthansa Miles & More take no transfers from US bank programs or Marriott, so their miles come only from flying and co-branded cards. Alaska Atmos Rewards accepts only Bilt among bank programs.
