JetBlue TrueBlue award chart and sweet spots

TrueBlue has no award chart. JetBlue says the points needed for a flight are "based on the published base fare at the time of booking", so they vary with the destination, the day, the season and how far ahead you book, and its 2025 annual report adds that points can be used any time with no blackout dates. Mint is priced the same way from the Mint fare, and the only cash due is taxes and fees: US$5.60 one way within the US and up to US$161.50 one way internationally.

Partner awards are booked on jetblue.com too: United, Qatar Airways and Icelandair flights appear in the search when you select Use TrueBlue points, and Condor awards are shopped the same way. JetBlue publishes no partner chart, says partner inventory is entirely at the operating carrier's discretion, and requires partner flights to be paid entirely in points.

Since October 2025 TrueBlue points book United-operated flights from the jetblue.com search, a network JetBlue puts at 165 US destinations and 27 European cities plus Cape Town and Tahiti. Award seats are capacity-controlled.

Cardholder redemption rebate

10% to 15% back

JetBlue Plus and Business cardholders get 10% of redeemed points back and Premier cardholders 15%; since April 2026 the Premier rebate covers partner awards as well as JetBlue flights.

Mint awards are priced from the Mint fare like any JetBlue award, so the points price falls when the cash fare does, and there are no blackout dates.

Cash + Points

from 500 points

Points and cash can be mixed on JetBlue-operated flights from 500 points, so a small balance still cuts a fare. Since March 2026 points also pay for seats, checked bags, pet fees and priority security.

Fees and surcharges

  • Taxes and fees are paid when the award is booked: US$5.60 one way or US$11.20 round trip within the US, and US$5.60 to US$161.50 one way (US$27.60 to US$171.60 round trip) on international flights.
  • No change or cancellation fee on Main, EvenMore or Mint fares under JetBlue's fee schedule. A change or cancellation fee applies to any Base fare award, and the schedule sets the Base fare fee at US$150 per person.
  • Points from a cancelled award go back to the TrueBlue account immediately.
  • Partner awards may carry government taxes and carrier-imposed fees, and must be paid entirely in points.
  • Booking, changing or cancelling by phone or chat costs US$25 per person, waived for Mosaic members, lap infants, bookings of more than seven people, JetBlue Vacations packages and customers unable to book online, among others.

Routing and stopover rules

  • JetBlue's pages set out no stopover or open-jaw rules for awards; each JetBlue award is priced from the fare in the search results and keeps that fare's change terms, which is why Base fare awards carry the Base fee.
  • Cash + Points works only on JetBlue-operated flights, with at most two forms of payment per booking; partner flights need 100% points.
  • A Cash + Points booking allows one voluntary change, online only; after that the unflown segments must be cancelled and rebooked at the current fare.

Recent and upcoming changes

  • July 27, 2026: JetBlue announced a new fare structure of Base, Standard and Flex fares across Main, EvenMore, BlueFirst and Mint; Base fares earn 1 point per dollar and carry a fee to change or cancel, awards included.
  • April 2026: the Premier card rebate rose to 15% of points on award flights, now including partner airlines (it launched in January 2025 at 10% on JetBlue-operated awards).
  • March 31, 2026: points became usable for seats, checked bags, pet fees and priority security, and the Points On Repeat subscription launched.
  • October 2025: reciprocal earning and redemption with United went live under Blue Sky; August 2025: Condor added for earning and redemption.
  • Japan Airlines was added for redemptions in April 2025 but is not on JetBlue's partner page in September 2026.
