Why JetBlue TrueBlue points are worth what they are
JetBlue TrueBlue points are valued at 1.3 to 1.4 cents each by the major points publishers in September 2026: The Points Guy at 1.35 cents, Upgraded Points and One Mile at a Time at 1.3, and NerdWallet at 1.4 from the median of 80 economy awards. The range is narrow because TrueBlue has no award chart. JetBlue sets the points price of a flight from its published base fare at the time of booking, with no blackout dates and taxes from US$5.60 one way, so a point buys about the same share of a fare whatever the date.
That caps the upside as well as the downside: there is no chart price to exploit on a peak date, and JetBlue does not publish what partner awards on United, Qatar Airways or Etihad cost in points. Cardholders do better. The JetBlue Plus and Business cards return 10% of redeemed points and the Premier card 15%, which lifts the net value to about 1.44 to 1.65 cents. AwardWallet members report an average of 1.24 cents on the awards they book.
