Yes. Emirates Skywards members buy Miles through Points.com, linked from emirates.com, at US$30 per 1,000 Miles in blocks of 1,000 from a 2,000-Mile minimum. Gold and Platinum members can buy and gift up to 200,000 Miles a calendar year, Blue and Silver members 100,000.

How to buy Emirates Skywards miles

  1. Log in to Emirates Skywards on emirates.com and choose Buy Miles. You need at least one earning activity in your account first, from an Emirates or partner flight or a partner transaction.
  2. You move to the Points.com platform to choose the amount, in blocks of 1,000 from a minimum of 2,000.
  3. Pay by credit card; cash isn't accepted. Local taxes may apply depending on where you live.
  4. The Miles arrive within 48 hours of successful payment.

Limits

  • Blocks of 1,000 Miles, minimum 2,000 per purchase.
  • Platinum and Gold members can buy up to 200,000 Miles a calendar year; Silver and Blue members up to 100,000. Gifted Miles count toward the same limit.

Rules to know before you buy

  • Your account needs at least one earlier earning activity from flying Emirates or a partner airline, or a partner transaction.
  • Miles post within 48 hours of successful payment.
  • Refunds aren't permitted unless the law requires them.
  • Bought Miles don't count toward tier status.
  • Bought and gifted Miles last at least three years from the purchase and expire at the end of the receiving member's birth month.

Buying miles for someone else, and transfers

Gifting miles

  • Gift Miles to another eligible member at the same US$30 per 1,000 Miles. Gifts count toward your yearly buying limit of 100,000 or 200,000 Miles.

Transferring between members

  • Transfer Miles to another eligible member through the Points platform for US$15 per 1,000 Miles, from a 2,000-Mile minimum. A member can send and receive up to 50,000 Miles a calendar year.
  • Transfers can't go to or come from a My Family account. My Family itself lets a Family Head aged 18 or over pool Miles with up to seven family members, each choosing what share of their earnings to contribute.
