How to claim missing Air Canada Aeroplan points

Request missing flight points with Air Canada's Request missing points portal, at least 14 days after your entire trip has been completed.

Air Canada's Aeroplan inactivity policy page sets the deadlines: a flight within 11 months of its departure date (some exceptions apply), and a hotel stay or car rental within the last 6 months.

The rule people miss: the terms exclude purchases made before you enrolled, and points go only to the traveler whose name and Aeroplan number are on the ticket.

  • Reward travel tickets, free promotional tickets and tickets on fares whose rules exclude earning do not earn Aeroplan points.
  • If you voluntarily exchange a ticket for different flights, you earn points on the cost of the new flights; if an airline changes your flight, Air Canada says you earn on the original booking.
  • Aeroplan points cannot be transferred except as authorized by Aeroplan.

Fees

  • Aeroplan lists no fee for a missing-points request.

If Air Canada Aeroplan refuses a claim
