Yes. Flying Club members buy Virgin Points from their account at US$25 (£15) per 1,000 points plus a one-off US$22 (£15) fee per purchase, in steps of 1,000 up to 200,000 points a calendar year.

Until October 4, 2026, Virgin Atlantic adds a bonus of up to 70% on points bought or gifted and raises the yearly cap to 400,000. At the top bonus, points work out at about 1.47¢ each.

How to buy Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points

  1. Log in to your Flying Club account on virginatlantic.com.
  2. Choose Buy Virgin Points, under Buy, gift or transfer Virgin Points.
  3. Pick the number of points in steps of 1,000 and follow the steps to pay. Your balance must be above zero to buy.
  4. Points should reach your account within 24 hours.

  • Bought in steps of 1,000 points.
  • Up to 200,000 points each calendar year, raised to 400,000 during the offer that ends October 4, 2026.
  • You can't buy, gift or transfer points while your balance is zero.

Rules to know before you buy

  • Points should be credited within 24 hours.
  • A purchase can be cancelled within 14 days as long as none of the bought points have been redeemed; after that it is non-refundable and non-transferable.
