Virgin Atlantic Flying Club award chart and sweet spots
Virgin Atlantic prices its own flights dynamically since October 30, 2024, with Saver reward seats from 6,000 points one way in economy between London and New York, and higher "Standard" pricing on the rest. Partner awards keep published charts, and the two that matter are ANA and Delta: fixed one-way prices by region or distance, with taxes and carrier charges added.
Flying Club is a transfer partner of every major US bank, so its ANA and Delta charts are effectively available to anyone with Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One or Bilt points.

Off-peak dates on Virgin's Delta chart, against 170,000 or more SkyMiles for the same seat.

One way under 500 miles on Delta, often cheaper than Delta itself.
Fees and surcharges
- Change or cancellation of a Virgin Atlantic reward: $100 (£70) per ticket, plus any fare difference; no refund within 24 hours of departure.
- Partner award date change: £30.
- Taxes, fees and carrier-imposed charges are paid in cash on every award; Virgin Atlantic's own Upper Class carries the heaviest.
- Virgin Points never expire, and there is no inactivity rule.
Routing and stopover rules
- Partner awards are priced per flight sector, so a connection adds a second price.
- ANA awards are priced one way on Virgin's chart and are booked by phone; Delta awards can be booked online.
- Virgin Atlantic awards can be one way; mixed cabins are allowed.

- October 30, 2024: Virgin Atlantic moved its own flights to dynamic pricing, with Saver seats from 6,000 points and no chart.
