Why Citi ThankYou Points are worth what they are
Citi ThankYou Points are valued at 1.5 to 1.9 cents each in September 2026, with The Points Guy at 1.9 cents and NerdWallet at about 1.7 cents for points earned on premium cards. Citi's partner list includes Avios, Flying Blue, Turkish Miles&Smiles, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore KrisFlyer, Cathay Asia Miles, Qantas, Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways, mostly at 1:1.
The cash floor was cut in August 2025: points from the Strata Premier and Prestige now pay 0.75 cents as cash back, while points on Double Cash, Custom Cash and Rewards+ still pay a full cent. Citi Travel bookings pay a cent with no multiplier.
