Alaska Atmos Rewards award chart and sweet spots
Atmos Rewards prices partner awards from three distance-based charts (Americas, Europe-Middle East-Africa and Asia-Pacific), each with "starting at" amounts per band and cabin, and prices Alaska and Hawaiian flights from a similar starting-at model. Alaska says redemptions start at 4,500 points one way, and the charts have kept some of the lowest business class prices in oneworld.

US East Coast to Europe in business class
45,000 points
One way on partners such as American, British Airways or Condor for flights under 3,500 miles, one of the lowest transatlantic business prices in any program.
JAL business class Seattle or Vancouver to Tokyo
60,000 points
One way, rising to 75,000 from other US gateways. Same seat as 60,000 AAdvantage miles but with a free stopover allowed.
Short American Airlines flights
4,500 points
One way in economy on American flights under 700 miles, the cheapest domestic partner award in the US.
Free stopover on one-way partner awards
no extra points
One stopover on a one-way award and two on a round trip, which lets a single award cover two cities.
Fees and surcharges
- A non-refundable partner award fee of $20 per person each way on every partner booking, up from $12.50 on July 1, 2026; waived for Atmos Summit Visa cardholders.
- No change or cancellation fees on award tickets, and the partner fee is not collected again on changes.
- Some partners pass on carrier-imposed surcharges; most oneworld partners booked through Atmos do not.
- Itineraries that start and end outside the US must be booked at least 72 hours before departure.
Routing and stopover rules
- One free stopover on a one-way partner award and two on a round trip, according to points blogs; Alaska's chart page did not render for us, so confirm in the booking flow.
- Partner awards are priced by the distance of the whole itinerary within one chart region.
- Only one partner airline can be combined with Alaska or Hawaiian on a single award.
Recent and upcoming changes
- August 20, 2025: Mileage Plan became Atmos Rewards; HawaiianMiles balances migrated on October 1, 2025 at one mile to one point.
- July 1, 2026: partner award fee rose from $12.50 to $20 per person each way.
- August 1, 2026: Saver fares booked on or after June 11, 2026 stopped earning points and status points.
- The partner charts were last restructured in April 2024; no 2026 repricing has been announced.
