ANA Mileage Club award chart and sweet spots
ANA Mileage Club publishes all of its charts. Awards on ANA's own international flights are priced by zone pair and season (Low, Regular and High), and ANA prints them as round-trip amounts; since June 24, 2025 a one-way award is available at half the round-trip price for its season, from 6,000 miles. Partner airline awards use a separate ten-zone chart with one price per cabin and no seasons, from 7,500 miles one way, and Japan domestic awards are priced one way by sector distance and season. Every figure below is from ANA's pages.
ANA's 2026 calendar for North America and Europe routes puts January 6 to February 28 and April 1 to 28 in Low season, and January 1 to 3, April 29 to May 9, July 16 to August 23 and December 19 to 31 in High season. ANA says its international awards have no blackout dates.

From ANA's charts, read September 2026; ANA publishes round-trip prices and a one-way award costs half. ANA-flight prices are Low / Regular / High season; partner prices have no seasons, and the partner chart shows no premium economy. "Japan" on the partner chart is zone 1-A, an international round trip with or without domestic connections. Japan domestic awards are priced one way by sector distance (Low / Regular / High): 6,000 / 6,500 / 9,000 up to 300 miles, such as Tokyo to Osaka; 7,000 / 8,500 / 10,500 for 301 to 800 miles, such as Tokyo to Sapporo; 8,000 / 9,500 / 12,000 for 801 to 1,000 miles, such as Tokyo to Okinawa; and 9,500 / 10,500 / 13,000 for 1,001 to 2,000 miles, such as Tokyo to Ishigaki.
Sweet spots
ANA business class, Japan to North America in Low season
100,000 miles round trip
50,000 each way. Regular season is 105,000 round trip, but High season rose to 165,000 in June 2025.
Star Alliance business class, North America to Europe
100,000 miles round trip
Or 50,000 one way on partners such as United or Lufthansa, with no seasonal pricing; first class is 165,000 round trip.
ANA first class, Japan to North America
150,000 miles round trip
Low season; Regular is 170,000 and High 300,000. One way costs half.
Japan domestic flights
6,000 miles one way
Low season for flights up to 300 miles, such as Tokyo to Osaka. The longest band, such as Tokyo to Ishigaki, tops out at 13,000 in High season.
Fees and surcharges
- Fuel surcharges apply to award tickets. For tickets issued September 1 to October 31, 2026 on trips starting in Japan, ANA charges ¥55,000 per sector to North America (except Hawaii), Europe, the Middle East and Oceania, ¥35,800 to Hawaii, India and Indonesia, ¥27,300 to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, and ¥6,500 to South Korea; trips starting outside Japan are quoted in US dollars.
- Taxes, facility charges and surcharges are paid by card when the award is ticketed. ANA's international award page still quotes a minimum of US$70 "as of February 2015" and lists a ticketing service charge of US$25 in the United States.
- Cancelling costs 3,000 miles per person, or 3,000 yen by credit card on tickets issued from June 24, 2025 (card payment for award refunds resumed on January 27, 2026 after a suspension). Taxes on unused awards are refunded, but miles that have expired by the time of the refund are lost.
- Changes are free but narrow: an ANA-flight award can move only to another flight on the same segment and date, up to 24 hours before it, while partner awards allow date and flight changes up to 96 hours before the new flight. Airline, route, class and passenger cannot be changed.
Routing and stopover rules
- ANA flights, round trip: one connection in Japan in each direction (two before June 24, 2025), and one stopover of more than 24 hours on the way to the destination, allowed only on trips that start outside Japan. If the trip ends somewhere other than where it started, both points must be in the same country or designated region.
- ANA flights, one way: no stopovers and at most one connection in Japan.
- Partner awards: one stopover besides the destination on a round trip; a one-way trip may have up to three connections, one in Japan and two overseas.
- Cabins can be mixed on connecting flights: each direction is priced at the higher cabin flown in that direction (half that cabin's round-trip price), and a round trip cannot later be converted to one way or the reverse.
Recent and upcoming changes
- May 19, 2026: Japan domestic award tickets must be started within a year of issue, infants aged 0 to 1 need a ticket, and members can use miles to upgrade domestic tickets from Economy to Premium Class.
- January 27, 2026: card payment of the 3,000-yen cancellation fee on award refunds resumed after a suspension for system adjustments.
- June 24, 2025: one-way awards on ANA and partner airlines; High-season prices raised in every cabin on ANA flights, and business and first raised in all seasons to South Korea, Asia and Oceania (High season only to Hawaii, North America and Europe); connections in Japan cut to one each way; Star Alliance Round the World awards withdrawn.
- April 15, 2025: unused international and partner awards became refundable online on the Reservation Details page.
- April 18, 2024: business and first class on ANA flights rose, for example Japan to North America business from 75,000, 85,000 and 90,000 to 100,000, 105,000 and 110,000 round trip (Low, Regular, High), and partner prices were revised.

ANA Mileage Club award FAQ
- How many ANA miles for business class between the US and Japan?
- On ANA's own flights, 100,000 miles round trip in Low season, 105,000 in Regular and 165,000 in High, or half those amounts one way, plus taxes and fuel surcharges. On partner airlines the North America to Japan price is 110,000 round trip or 55,000 one way, with no seasons.
- Does ANA charge fuel surcharges on award tickets?
- Yes. ANA's surcharge page says the charge applies to Mileage Club award tickets. For tickets issued September 1 to October 31, 2026 on trips starting in Japan, it is ¥55,000 per sector between Japan and North America or Europe.
- Can I change an ANA award ticket?
- Within narrow limits. An award on ANA's own flights can move to another flight on the same segment and date up to 24 hours before departure; partner awards allow date and flight changes up to 96 hours before the new flight. Anything else means cancelling for 3,000 miles or 3,000 yen and rebooking.
