Virgin Atlantic: retroactive applications are accepted only by email or postal mail.
Asiana Airlines: mileage accrual is available for flights boarding until October 15, 2026, and retroactive registration for web applications received until October 31, 2026.

Flights taken before you joined

ANA states that any mileage accrual will be denied before the ANA Mileage Club enrollment date.
For partner flights, ANA adds that submitting a retroactive mileage registration application is not the same as applying to join the ANA Mileage Club.
If you enrolled before flying but received your card later, ANA says you can retroactively register the mileage within 6 months after the flight.

Rules that decide a claim

The terms (Article 8) allow a claim for miles only within 6 months from the boarding date or date of purchase, and an objection about accrued miles only within 6 months from the boarding date.
Each member may use only one mileage account; ANA may merge duplicate accounts (Article 4).
Members who earn points in a partner's own customer program for the same activity cannot accrue ANA miles at the same time (Article 8).
Miles accrue only when the member actually travels on the booked flight.
Award tickets, complimentary tickets, special discount fares and charter flights do not earn miles.
Whether the ticket name must match the account name for a retroactive claim is not confirmed on the pages reviewed.

Fees

ANA lists no fee for a retroactive mileage registration. Postage for a mailed application is paid by the member and is not refunded.
