How to claim missing Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points
Claim missing Virgin Points online with your booking reference or ticket number and the original or a copy of your boarding pass, within six months of the flight date. Virgin Atlantic flights should post within 7 days, so check your account after that.
Partner airline claims have the same six-month limit and must be made through Virgin Atlantic's online form. Points can only be earned in one frequent flyer programme per flight, so Flying Club cannot take a flight another airline has already credited.

Virgin Atlantic flights
- Claim from
- Terms clause 3.1.4 says Virgin Points should be credited within 7 days of travel if you gave your membership number; you can request a retrospective credit if they have not appeared by then.
- Deadline
- Up to six months after the date of travel (terms clauses 3.1.2 and 3.1.4).
- Keep your boarding pass and other evidence until the points appear (terms clause 3.1.4).
- If nothing has posted within 7 days, claim online by entering the booking reference or ticket number and providing the original or a copy of the boarding pass (terms clause 3.1.3).
- Terms clause 7.2 also lets you post, fax or email the documents to the Virgin Atlantic Customer Centre instead of using the online form.

Partner airline flights

- Not confirmed for partner flights. Terms clause 3.1.4 says points from a purchase with a Participating Company usually post within 30 days of the activity.

Exceptions and partner rules
- Terms clause 17.1.2: partner airlines will not accept delays due to missing or incomplete information for claims made outside the six-month claim period.
- On Delta and SkyTeam flights, earning depends on the flight number and class: Virgin Atlantic's Delta page lists DL-marketed, VS-marketed and DL-operated, and DL-marketed SkyTeam-operated flights, with class restrictions on some combinations.
What to have ready

- Your Flying Club membership number, and your name as it appears on your Flying Club account (terms clause 3.4.3).
Flights taken before you joined
- Terms clause 3.1.1: "You may earn Virgin Points from the day you enrol in the FC Programme and by travelling with us."
- Not confirmed: the terms and pages read do not say whether a flight taken before enrolling can be claimed retrospectively.
Rules that decide a claim
- Give your membership number when booking or when you travel; points are then added automatically (terms clause 3.1.1).
- Give your name as it appears on your Flying Club account, with your account number, to earn the correct points (terms clause 3.4.3).
- Points can only be earned in one frequent flyer programme (Flying Club or a partner programme) and cannot be transferred between airlines.
- Claiming points from the same boarding pass more than once with different carriers breaches the terms and can lead to termination (terms clause 3.1.3).
- Free or reduced rate tickets earn no Virgin Points or Tier Points, including airport and Plusgrade upgrades, travel agent or industry discounts, charter flights, courier and complimentary tickets (terms clause 3.1.6).

If Virgin Atlantic Flying Club refuses a claim
- Account discrepancies must be reported to Virgin Atlantic within six months of the date the points were earned, or the points are forfeited (terms clause 7.3).
- You can post, fax or email the relevant documents to the Virgin Atlantic Customer Centre (terms clause 7.2).
- A flight credited to another airline's programme cannot be moved, because points can only be earned in one programme and cannot be transferred between airlines.
- If a late credit affects your status, Virgin Atlantic may manually upgrade you once the credit is on your account and you ask it to (terms clause 3.1.5).
