How to earn JetBlue TrueBlue points

JetBlue flights earn 3 points per US dollar on Main, Main Flex, EvenMore, EvenMore Flex, Mint and Mint Flex fares and 1 point on Main Base and EvenMore Base, counted on the fare and eligible fees less taxes. Booking on jetblue.com or in the app doubles that to 6 (2 on Base fares); phone bookings earn no bonus.

Mosaic members add 3 bonus points per dollar at Mosaic 1 and 2, 4 at Mosaic 3 and 5 at Mosaic 4 from February 1, 2026, which JetBlue puts at 11 points per dollar in total for Mosaic 4.

Partner flights earn by the partner's rule: 5 points per dollar of pre-tax fare and carrier surcharges on United (8 for Mosaic 1 and 2, 9 for Mosaic 3, 10 for Mosaic 4), and a share of distance by fare class on Qatar Airways (25% to 150%) and Icelandair (25% for Economy Light to 150% for Saga Premium Flex).

How to join JetBlue TrueBlue

Enrol at jetblue.com. What the program requires and offers:

  • Join at jetblue.com or in the JetBlue app. JetBlue's enrolment and basics pages load only with JavaScript, so the terms, including any minimum age, could not be read for this guide; children can hold accounts, and a parent or guardian runs Points Pooling for members under 13.
  • Members earn with JetBlue, JetBlue Vacations, TrueBlue Travel and select airline partners, and redeem for any JetBlue-operated flight, flight and hotel packages, car rentals and hotel stays, per the 2025 10-K.
  • Points never expire and have no blackout dates.
  • Since February 1, 2026, tiles earned by children 12 and under count toward the listed adult's perks and Mosaic status.

Where else JetBlue flights can be credited

  • United MileagePlus

    Under Blue Sky, MileagePlus members have earned on JetBlue flights since October 2025, though JetBlue says some select JetBlue routes are not eligible for MileagePlus accrual and redemption. United's earning page loads only with JavaScript, so the rate could not be read.

  • Etihad Guest

    A share of distance by fare class: J 130%, I, C and D 125%, most economy classes 100% and L 25%, credited within ten days. JetBlue flights earn no Etihad Tier Miles.

  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club

    Privilege Club members earn Avios on JetBlue-operated flights, per Qatar Airways' 2021 announcement; the rate table on Qatar's JetBlue page could not be read.

Which program should I select for JetBlue flights?

Book on jetblue.com or in the app. That doubles the earn to 6 points per dollar (2 on Base fares), and phone bookings earn no bonus.

For a cheap, long JetBlue flight, compare Etihad Guest. A 2,500-mile flight bought for US$150 earns 900 TrueBlue points at 6 per dollar but 2,500 Etihad Guest miles in a 100% class, and Etihad's JetBlue award chart starts at 6,000 miles for flights up to 500 miles. The trade-off is no tiles and no Etihad tier credit.

Credit to TrueBlue when the fare is high for the distance or when you want tiles and Mosaic status, which only TrueBlue counts. Mosaic members earn 9 to 11 points per dollar, which usually beats a distance-based partner.

Claiming points after the flight

Claim window: 12 months from a JetBlue-operated flight.

  • Sign in to your TrueBlue account and use the Request missing points link for a JetBlue-operated flight completed within the last 12 months.
  • For partner airlines, JetBlue says the time allowed to request points may vary by partner.

Ways to earn points without flying

JetBlue credit cards

Barclays issues four cards: the no-fee JetBlue Card (3 points per dollar on JetBlue, 2 at restaurants and grocery stores), JetBlue Plus and JetBlue Business (US$99, 6 points on JetBlue, 10% of redeemed points back) and JetBlue Premier (US$499, 6 points on JetBlue, 15% back, lounge access), from the card comparison page. Every US$1,000 of card spend also earns a tile.

TrueBlue Travel

Hotels, vacation rentals, cars and activities booked through TrueBlue Travel (formerly Paisly) earn 1 point per dollar on hotels and activities and 100 points a day on cars (200 for Mosaic members), plus a tile per US$100, per the August 2025 launch.

JetBlue Vacations

Flight and hotel packages earn points and a tile for every US$100 spent.

TrueBlue Shopping

The shopping portal pays points per dollar at hundreds of online stores, from 0.5 at eBay to 5 at lululemon when we checked.

Points On Repeat

A subscription launched in March 2026: US$144 a year for 1,000 points a month, US$360 for 2,000 a month plus 2 extra points per dollar on flights, or US$750 for 2,500 a month, 3 extra points per dollar and a 10% redemption rebate, per the announcement.

Buy points

JetBlue sells points on its buy points page, which loads only with JavaScript, so the price could not be read.

Bank point transfers

Chase (1:1), Capital One (5:3), Citi (varies), Wells Fargo (1:1) transfer into JetBlue TrueBlue. See the transfer partner matrix and how transfers work.

Booking awards with the points

Booking window: Any JetBlue flight on sale; no separate award window stated. Change fee: None on Main, EvenMore and Mint; US$150 on Base fare awards. Cancellation: Same as change; points returned to the account immediately. The full rules are on the award fees table and the availability guide.

  • Any JetBlue-operated flight can be booked with points, priced from the published base fare at the time of booking, with no blackout dates.
  • Partner seats are at the operating carrier's discretion; United seats are capacity-controlled, with limited availability on high-demand flights.
