Qatar Airways flights earn base Avios equal to distance times a booking-class percentage, plus a tier bonus on the actual distance: First F 300%, P and A 200%; business J and C 200%, D 175%, I and R 125%; economy Y, B and H 100%, K, M, L and V 75%, S, N and Q 50%, T, O, W and G 25%, from the Avios earn chart.

  • British Airways Club

    25% to 150% of distance: Y, B and H economy 100%, J, C, D, I and R business 125%. The same Avios currency in a different account.

  • Alaska Atmos Rewards

    Distance and fare class; missing-point claims for Qatar flights must be filed within 6 months.

  • Qantas Frequent Flyer

    Route-based table; missing points on Qatar flights must be claimed within six months.

Which program should I select for Qatar Airways flights?

Business class on Qatar: Privilege Club pays 200% of distance in J and C, so Doha to New York (6,700 miles) earns 13,400 Avios, while British Airways pays 125% (8,375 Avios) for the same currency. Credit to Privilege Club.

Discount economy: the programs converge at 25% to 75%, so choose the balance you use. Avios earned in Privilege Club and BA are the same currency, and AAdvantage suits US flyers who redeem American awards.

Credit to Privilege Club for Qatar status and the 2,000 Avios joining bonus. Avios there expire after 36 months without activity, so keep a card linked.

Claiming Avios after the flight

Claim window: 180 days; 90 days if joined after the trip.

  • Qatar Airways flights: use the past-flights tool on the Privilege Club dashboard.
  • Partner flights: contact Privilege Club with a copy of the ticket and boarding pass.
  • If you joined after the trip, claim within 90 days of the flight.

Snoonu deliveries in Qatar earn 1 Avios per QAR 3 on orders over QAR 150 through a linked Visa. talabat and Glovo are listed as partners, but their rate pages could not be read.

Hotels and cars

Marriott Bonvoy, Accor, Booking.com, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Rocketmiles, Rotana and Shangri-La stays; Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt rentals, from the hotel offers and car rental pages.

Banks and retail

More than 40 bank and card partners including American Express, Citi, QNB, HSBC, HDFC and Axis, plus Nespresso and PayPal.

Buy, gift or transfer Avios

Up to 250,000 Avios a year in blocks of 1,000, posted within 72 hours and non-refundable; the price shows at checkout.

Privilege Club Pro

A monthly Avios subscription in four packages with a three-month minimum and up to 240,000 Avios a year.
