Join free at alaskaair.com or in the Alaska Hawaiian app; enrollment takes a minute and you get an Atmos Rewards number straight away. New members in most US states also get a $25 discount code deposited within 72 hours, valid on a ticket bought at alaskaair.com within 28 days of joining.
Does it cost anything to join Alaska Atmos Rewards?
No. Atmos Rewards is free to join, and Alaska says enrollment can be completed in seconds before or even during a flight to unlock the free Starlink Wi-Fi.

Where do I find my Alaska Atmos Rewards membership number?
Your Atmos Rewards number is shown in My Account once you sign in. If you have forgotten it, use the Find My Loyalty Number form, which looks it up from your first and last name, zip or postal code and date of birth (the details must match what you used to enroll).
Does Alaska Atmos Rewards issue a physical membership card, and do I need one?
No physical card. The Membership card link in your account menu simply opens the account-number lookup (name, zip or postal code and date of birth); your Atmos Rewards number is all you need to add to bookings and show partners.
Does Alaska Airlines have an app for managing Alaska Atmos Rewards, and what can it do?
Yes. The single Alaska Hawaiian app (rolled out from March 30, 2026 and fully live April 22, 2026) lets you sign in with your existing Atmos credentials, book Alaska, Hawaiian and 30+ partner airlines with cash or points, check in from 24 hours out, store a mobile boarding pass and Known Traveler Number, manage bags, and change or cancel flights.

How do I update my email, address or phone number with Alaska Atmos Rewards?
Sign in to your Atmos Rewards account at alaskaair.com and open Profile and Settings to update your email, address and phone number; the help center points members there rather than to a phone line for routine profile changes.

What do I do if I am locked out of my Alaska Atmos Rewards account?
Use the Atmos Rewards password reset page: pick your program (Atmos Rewards, previously Mileage Plan, or the former Hawaiian login), enter your user ID or account number and follow the verification code. If you have also lost the account number there is a "send email" option on the same page, and the Atmos Rewards line (1-833-902-8667) can unlock an account after identity checks.
If I join Alaska Atmos Rewards after a flight, can I still claim miles for it?
No. Alaska's missing credit page says you must have been an Atmos Rewards member at the time of travel to receive points, so flights taken before you joined cannot be claimed.

Does Alaska Airlines have a separate program for small businesses, and can I earn in both?
Yes. Atmos for Business (launched September 2025) is open to companies with at least $5,000 in annual travel spend; the company earns 1 point per dollar on flown tickets, while employees who link their personal Atmos Rewards account still earn their own points plus a 10% bonus on status points for tickets booked through the platform. A separate Atmos Rewards Visa Business card earns 3 points per $1 on Alaska purchases.

How are miles calculated on Alaska Airlines flights: by fare paid, by distance, or by a fixed amount?
Atmos Rewards is distance-based: you earn 100% of miles flown as base points plus a fare-class bonus (up to 200% total in First). Alaska has announced a choice of earning method for later in 2026 (see the news section below). See the earning guide.

How many miles do I earn per dollar (or per mile flown) on Alaska Airlines?
On Alaska and Hawaiian flights you currently earn 1 point per mile flown in discounted economy (M, L, V, S, N, Q, O, G), 1.25 in H/K, 1.5 in Y/B and 1.5 to 2 points per mile in premium cabins. Once choice-earning launches in 2026 the price-based option pays 5 points per dollar instead.

Do basic economy or light fares on Alaska Airlines earn miles?
Saver fares (X class) earn 30% of miles flown only for travel through July 31, 2026 or trips booked before June 11, 2026. From August 1, 2026 Saver fares earn no Atmos Rewards points or status points at all, although 100% of the distance still counts toward Million Miler status.

How are miles calculated on partner airline flights credited to Alaska Atmos Rewards?
Partner flights earn a percentage of the distance flown set by fare class. Tickets bought through alaskaair.com or hawaiianairlines.com use a universal table (100% in economy, up to 200% in First); tickets bought elsewhere use each partner's own table, which can be higher up front (British Airways First pays 500%) but as low as 25% in deep-discount economy.
Which booking classes on partner airlines earn miles in Alaska Atmos Rewards, and which earn nothing?
Each partner page shows its own table. Examples for tickets bought from the partner: Qatar Airways T, O and W earn 25%; British Airways Q, O and G earn 25%; Japan Airlines G, N, O and Q earn 30%; Cathay Pacific L through G earn 25%. None of the published tables list a fare class earning zero.
Do partner airline flights count toward elite status in Alaska Atmos Rewards?
Yes, partner flights earn status points as well as points, with one published exception: STARLUX flights booked through the partner's own site earn points but no status points.

Does it matter whether a partner flight is ticketed by Alaska Airlines or by the partner for Alaska Atmos Rewards earning?
Yes. A partner flight ticketed through Alaska or Hawaiian earns on the universal table (economy 100% to 150%, premium economy 150%, business up to 200%), while the same flight ticketed by the partner uses that airline's table, for example British Airways economy at 25% to 100% but First at 500%.

For flights, Alaska wants the passenger receipt and at least one boarding pass along with your Atmos Rewards number; hotel, car, shopping and dining credit is handled with the partner directly, and other everyday partners need a receipt mailed to the Des Moines PO box.

Bilt Rewards transfers to Atmos Rewards (Alaska and Hawaiian) at 1:1, in 1,000-point increments, with a 2,000-point minimum for Bilt Blue members and 1,000 for Silver, Gold and Platinum; it is the one bank-style currency on our transfer partners list that reaches Atmos. Marriott Bonvoy hotel points also convert, at 3:1.

Can I transfer miles back out of Alaska Atmos Rewards to a bank program?
Not to a bank. Bilt says a transfer cannot be reversed: once moved, the points are no longer Bilt Points and fall under the Atmos Rewards terms. Going the other way, Alaska gives Summit Visa Infinite cardholders exclusive access to transfer Atmos points to hotel partner programs (five at launch, many at 1:1).

Does Alaska Atmos Rewards run transfer bonuses from bank programs?
Marriott Bonvoy has a standing one: its points convert to Atmos Rewards at 3:1 with a 5,000-point bonus for every 60,000 Bonvoy points moved (the page excludes American, Avianca and Delta from that bonus, not Alaska). Bilt, which transfers 1:1, says only that it may at times offer promotional transfer rates.
Must the bank account and Alaska Atmos Rewards account be in the same name for a transfer?
For Marriott Bonvoy, yes: Marriott requires the member name on the receiving Atmos Rewards account to match your Bonvoy first and last name, so conversions go into your own account (3,000 to 240,000 Bonvoy points a day, at 3:1). Bilt's transfer-partner page does not spell out a name rule.
Do Alaska Atmos Rewards credit cards have annual fees, and what perks offset them?
Yes. The Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite costs $395 and gives back eight Alaska Lounge passes a year, a 25,000-point Global Companion Award after qualifying spend and each card anniversary (100,000 points after $60,000 of spend in a card year), a free checked bag for you and up to six guests, an automatic $50 voucher when an Alaska flight is delayed over two hours, and savings on partner award booking fees (up to $25 per person per round trip when the card launched in August 2025). Bank of America lists the Ascent Visa Signature at $95.

Do any Alaska Atmos Rewards credit cards include a companion fare or free flight certificate?
Yes. The Ascent Visa Signature gives a $99 Companion Fare (plus taxes and fees from $23) each account anniversary, but only after you spend $6,000 or more on purchases in the prior anniversary year. Per Alaska, the Summit Visa Infinite instead gives a 25,000-point Global Companion Award after qualifying spend and each anniversary, plus a 100,000-point award after $60,000 of spend in a card year, usable in any cabin on Alaska, Hawaiian, oneworld and global partners.

Avis (AWD K197800) and Budget (BCD U072200) are the car partners: up to 1,250 points per qualifying rental plus up to 35% and 30% off base rates, and Avis will match Atmos status to Avis Preferred Plus or President's Club. Give your number at booking or the counter.

Yes. The Opinion Terminal pays 400 points for joining and completing a first survey, and e-Rewards gives 250 points at sign-up with survey earnings convertible to Atmos points; both count toward status.

Yes, through Points.com. Without a promotion points cost about 3.76 cents each plus a 7.5% tax recovery fee, with a 1,000-point minimum, up to 100,000 points per transaction and a cap of 150,000 purchased points per year for members without status (no cap for elites). Bought points post in roughly 16 hours and do not count toward status.

Sharing points with another member costs $10 per 1,000 points plus a $25 processing fee (1,000 minimum, 30,000 maximum per transaction, 100,000 per calendar year), and Summit Visa Infinite and Hawaiian World Elite Mastercard holders can share free with up to ten other members. Transfers are not refundable.

Does in-flight Wi-Fi, duty free or onboard purchases earn miles on Alaska Airlines?
Wi-Fi is no longer something you buy or earn on: every Atmos Rewards member gets Starlink Wi-Fi free on equipped Alaska and Hawaiian aircraft from 2026 (fleetwide by 2027) by logging in or signing up on board, and T-Mobile customers get ad-free sign-on. Alaska publishes no points earning for onboard food and drink purchases.

What are the elite status tiers in Alaska Atmos Rewards?
Four tiers: Atmos Silver (oneworld Ruby), Atmos Gold (Sapphire), Atmos Platinum (Emerald) and Atmos Titanium (Emerald), replacing the old MVP, MVP Gold, Gold 75K and Gold 100K names.
How do I qualify for elite status in Alaska Atmos Rewards: by spending, segments, distance or points?
By status points. Flights earn them by distance today (and from later in 2026 by your choice of distance, price or segments), and they also come from Atmos credit card spend, Lyft rides, Alaska and Hawaiian Vacations, dining, shopping, Foodland and Safeway conversions, cruises and CLEAR. What are the qualification thresholds for each Alaska Atmos Rewards tier?
Atmos Silver at 20,000 status points, Gold at 40,000, Platinum at 80,000 and Titanium at 135,000, with a first milestone reward at 10,000.
When does the Alaska Atmos Rewards qualification year start and end, and how long does status last?
Status points count from January 1 to December 31. Status earned is then valid for the following year, and Alaska's 2026 update page notes members can keep using earned status through January 31 after that.
Do partner airline flights count toward Alaska Atmos Rewards status?
Yes. Flights on all oneworld and Global Partner airlines earn status points, and since April 23, 2026 that includes Hawaiian's oneworld flying; the only listed exception is STARLUX tickets bought from STARLUX, which earn points but no status points.

Does Alaska Atmos Rewards offer a status match or status challenge?
Yes, a once-per-lifetime match for US and Canadian residents holding flown status with Aeromexico, Air Canada, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest or United (not American). You get Silver, Gold or Platinum for 90 days and keep it by earning 5,000, 10,000 or 20,000 base points on Alaska or Hawaiian flights in that window; matches approved by June 30 run to year end, later ones through the following December 31. Allow up to 4 weeks for approval.
Does Alaska Atmos Rewards offer lifetime or million-miler status?
Yes. One million paid miles flown on Alaska and Hawaiian gives Atmos Gold (oneworld Sapphire) for life, two million gives Platinum (Emerald) for life, and Million Milers can share that status with one household member; they also get 20,000 or 40,000 bonus status points each year.

What baggage benefits do Alaska Atmos Rewards elite members get?
Atmos Silver includes one free checked bag, and moving up to Gold, Platinum and Titanium adds more free checked bags and priority bag handling. Alaska's oneworld page adds that Gold (oneworld Sapphire) and Platinum and Titanium (Emerald) get an extra baggage allowance and priority baggage handling on oneworld airlines too.

Which Alaska Atmos Rewards tiers get lounge access, and where?
Status alone does not open Alaska Lounges domestically. Atmos Gold, Platinum and Titanium (and other oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members) get in when flying outside the US, Canada and Mexico; otherwise access comes from paid or award First Class on flights of 2,000+ miles, a $595 or $795 membership, a $65 day pass, or milestone rewards (day passes at 55,000 and 95,000 status points, a Lounge+ membership at 125,000).
Do Alaska Atmos Rewards elite members get complimentary upgrades, and how are they prioritised?
Yes. Every tier from Atmos Silver up gets complimentary First Class and Premium Class upgrades, and upgrade priority rises as you move through Gold, Platinum and Titanium. Titanium members also get complimentary day-of-departure upgrades into global Business Class for themselves and a companion.

Not as one award booking. Alaska's Group Travel desk (10 or more travelling together, 1-800-445-4435, weekdays 6am to 6pm PT) sells cash group fares with no deposit, no ticketing fees and free name changes until three days before departure; the group programme makes no provision for points, so award travel for a large party means ordinary award bookings in separate reservations.
